First Mistake is an online magazine for conservation and the environment. But unlike regular paper magazines, the content of the magazine can be created, influenced and commented on by the readers themselves.
So it is a community thing - a community magazine. The good news is that you can do all this on line. However, like a magazine, it needs to be edited. The subject matter needs to get into the right section, the laws of liable and decency need to be observed and so on.
There are lots of ways of contributing, through the forums for example. But registered users can see the comments made by others on the magazine articles, and can post comments on the magazine articles.
So registered users are able to see more content than a guest. Registering is easy, and quick, but FirstMistake needs to maintain editorial control for the reasons outlined above.
